Technology Development Award

Award Report

We were awarded the Technology Development Prize 2010 from The Japan Fluid Power System Society for our Small Axial Piston Pump and Micro HST that have spherical valve plate design on May 27, 2011

[Summary]
We established designing theories of spherical valve plate that is reliable in performance and high in efficiency and then successfully applied it to a small pump and HST (Hydraulic Static Transmission), which we named Small Axial Piston Pump and Micro HST.
The Small Axial Piston Pump, the world-smallest and light, gives great flexibility for application installation. Therefore demand for industrial machineries and agricultural carts is very high. This Small Axial Piston Pump has a great possiblity for the application to home care and rehabilitation equipment.
The Micro HST is light, less heat generation and more tolerant of system contamination. An application for small agricultural equipment is suitable.
The recipients of the prize are Hiroshi Kosodo, Yuichi Higuchi and Yoshihiko Kawano (Development Division) and Hiroshi Sanui (Production Engineering Division). The Small Axial Piston Pump and the Micro HST are the outcome of the overcall fusion of Takako's developing power. They are well received at the exhibition held in Europe and America.
