Corporate history

Takako started the business in Osaka city in 1973, grew up in Higashi Osaka city which is famous as a manufacturing city, and has 3 global locations worldwide (Japan, U.S.A., and Vietnam) now. Based on existing high accurate parts business, hearing the needs from customers worldwide, we move forward to our self-developed products.

1970s
1973 Company established at Tamatsukuri, Higashinari-ku, Osaka-shi.
Work tool production (exported to KAL in U.S.A)
1974 A plant established at Miyamachi, Yao-shi, Osaka prefecture.
Hydraulic parts production started.
1976 Headquarters and plant were integrated at Higashi Kounoike, Higashi Osaka-shi.
1977 Wakokai, Takako Seiki society, was found.
The 1st NC lathe installed.
1978 Ball welding business started
1980s
1980 Electric parts chip mounter, parts feeder business started.
Capital increased to 8,000 thousand JPY.
1981 Headquarters and plant were established at Nunoichi-cho, Higashi Osaka-city.
Capital increased to 20,000 thousand JPY.
1982 Forging business started (shaving forging)
Main plant enlarged
1986 Invested by a small and medium business investment & consultation company.
1987 Capital increased to 40,000 thousand JPY.
Employees' stock ownership plan was introduced.
Tokyo plant established (Fuji Seiko Co., Ltd.)
1990s
1990 Capital increased to 75,000 thousand JPY.
Affiliated company TSW PRODUCTS CO., INC. was established in Kansas, U.S.A.
Hishie plant and the 3rd Nunoichi plant were established.
1991 Mechatronics business started (automated equipments including FA system)
Ran a booth at Hannover Messe, Germany.
The 4th Nunoichi plant was established.
1992 Capital increased to 99,500 thousand JPY.
1993 Kano mechatronics plant established.

1995 The 5th Kusaka plant established

Shiga plant established (5 neighboring factories are integrated)

Company name changed from Takako Seiki to Takako Industries, INC.
Employees' stock ownership plan was introduced.

OEM production started on HST for agricultural machines.

2000 The 2nd Shiga plant established

OEM production started on on/off solenoid valve for industrial machines.
2003 ISO 9001(headquarters and Shiga plant) and ISO 14001(Shiga plant) approved
Affiliated company TAKAKO VIETNAM CO., LTD. was established in Binh Duong province, which is close to Ho Chi Minh city.
Headquarters moved to a self-owned building at Seika-cho, Soraku-gun in Kyoto prefecture.
Production and sales started on self-developed on/off solenoid valve for construction machines.
2004 ISO 14001 (headquarters) approved
The 1st Vietnam plant enlarged

Production and sales started on self-developed proportional solenoid valve for construction machines.

2006 Capital tie-up with KYB Corporation
Production and sales started on self-developed Small Axial Piston Pump series
Capital increased to 337,775 thousand JPY.
Became a wholly owned subsidiary of KYB Corporation through stock swap.
